What legal sources does MieterHelfer use?
Our system is based on the German Civil Code (BGB), current BGH case law, and other relevant sources on German rental law. All answers include direct links to legal texts.
Is MieterHelfer only for tenants or also for landlords?
MieterHelfer is primarily aimed at tenants who need support with rental law questions. However, landlords can also use the service to inform themselves about their rights and obligations.
How accurate are the answers?

Does MieterHelfer replace a lawyer?

The document upload function is available in the Pro plan. You can upload rental contracts, utility bills, or other relevant documents that our system analyzes.
Is my data stored?
Your conversations are stored encrypted to provide you with a chat history. You can delete your data at any time in the settings. We do not share data with third parties.
In which languages is MieterHelfer available?
MieterHelfer is available in German and English. All information is based on German rental law.
What does MieterHelfer cost?
You can use MieterHelfer for free with 3 questions per day. For unlimited questions and additional features, we offer the Basic plan (€6.99/month) and Pro plan (€14.99/month).
How do I create a letter to my landlord?
Use our letter generator under "Write Letter". Select the type of letter (e.g. rent reduction, defects), enter your data, and our system creates a sample text template that you can download as PDF.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. There is no minimum contract period.
Which payment methods are accepted?
We accept credit cards, PayPal, and SEPA direct debit.
Is legal advice included?
No, MieterHelfer provides general information, not individual legal advice. For legal consultation, please consult a specialist lawyer.
What happens after my subscription ends?
